Six!

We had a fun photo shoot about a week ago when my whole family was all together for a quick weekend visit to Clovis.  This is the darling picture with Grandma, Pappa and all the grandchildren.  My parents are thrilled to have a little larger number of grandkids to brag about.  They have several friends who are constantly telling them of a new grandbaby born to their family and how that makes the number 12 or 19 or some crazy large number. Then they always ask how many do you have now?  For the last few years when it seemed that everyone else had been tripling their list my mom would reply: Still Four -with a smile
I'm sure she wanted to say:
Did you know my daughter who has been married the longest can't really have kids, her first born was a two pound miracle, her second passed away and then she adopted a special needs kid?  And my oldest daughter who has been married for five years lost her first baby and is on an adoption list waiting for a baby?  And my last son is a recovering addict and we are just happy he is alive and sober...?  Really it's all up to our third born Breton and his wife Jen!

It makes me want to cry when I look at this beautiful picture.  We have several miracles in our family.  Keith has been such a blessing and a wonderful son.  He is 13 now and is turning into a great young man.  Scottie is a joy; we love and adore him.  He is extremely challenging but so much fun and pretty cute too...Right?  Breton and Jen have three kids now and they moved to Cali. this last year so we are so excited to see them more often.  Kaylin is in Kindergarten and is an absolutely adorable and smart older sister.  Dax is a superhero (really) and his sisters shadow with SO much energy!  Brody is our newest member of the family he was born in August and he is beautiful.  Our most recent amazing miracle is Avery.  (Nicole & Seth's daughter) She was born in February and if you keep up on my life (or blog) you know how much this sweet girl means to our family!  She is the sweetest blue eye baby you will ever see.  And she looks just like her Mommy.
It was fun to have my parents house full with kids running around and babies passed around.  The kids have so much fun together and adore each other.  We are so happy and grateful for all blessings we have!  And now my Mom & Dad can proudly reply: We have Six! with a grin.
