One Holiday Down!

Scott enjoyed being Mr. Potato Head this year.
Thanks to Mickey D's for the Tato Head trick-or-treat bucket...

I actually love Halloween.  Todd was gone again for the Father-Son baseball tournament with his Dad, brothers and nephews in Arizona (for 9 days).  He got home at 6:30 on Halloween evening and I was happy and very ready to see him.  (although I REALLY wished he had been home on Thurs. when I found a rat in my garage)  Scott had been a pill for a few days at one point I thought he wouldn't even wear the costume I made him this year.  He didn't wear it to his school party and that day I had a moment when I was questioning the importance of it all:  He does not care about this party! It's not for me, its for him RIGHT? Do I really need to force him to get dressed up? Will he even wear it tomorrow or on Halloween to go trick-or-treat to our 3 favorite neighbors?  What is the whole point???  (One of the main reasons I had an issue is that the School party was for his special day class and all the other kids who may have even more serious issues than Scott were dressed up doing great and having fun with their parents.  I dream of him being like a normal kid often but when he cant even be the norm with his special needs peers it makes it even harder.)
In the end he wore his costume to our church Trunk-Or-Treat party with out any problems and again on Halloween to show off to our neighbors and was a cute as can be.
