Scottie is a Cardinal

What a great game! The best part was watching Elana (his one-on-one helper) try to keep him engaged. Why? Because it wasn't me!

I guess I should mention this is a Special Needs League. It is so awesome, they have one volunteer for each player so the parents get to watch.
Scott only kept his glove and hat on for about 3 minutes. He got two hits, scored twice, took a couple Cheeto breaks and made a few plays: 1. From right field he ran to get a grounder after much persuasion and then threw it further away... 2. The next time he had a chance to run and get a grounder he plopped right down on the ground and proceeded to lay in the dirt for a while. 3. He ran off the field and started climbing the bleachers.

I thought it would be fun to watch the other kids thinking they would be very entertaining; what I didn't realize was Scott would be the star of the show! I have to say my favorite thing was just seeing him in a baseball uniform.

That is so cute. I love those dimples. Can't get much cuter than a little boy in a uniform! How fun that you could watch. Go Scottie!

Yes!!! I love hearing stories like this! :) I'm so impressed he restrained himself for 3 whole minutes... I think Megan would have refused to even put on a glove! Marlo

What a cutie!! How fun for him to be able to play ball. I showed this picture to Olivia and she said "Mom I still love him---even if he did leave me"
