My Second Half Marathon

I am totally obsessed with this Half-Marathon- the ticker to the right currently says: 1 day 10 hours until the gun goes off. actually by the time I am posting this the widget is off, it thinks it is April right now and I can't fix it!

My obsession started when I decided I was going to run the half a few months ago. I had a conversation with my friend Melissa who told me she and her husband Garett were doing it and they had spoken to our friend Josh who was interested too. She was also going to see if her two sisters Stacy and Kelly would do it with her.

I was sold and SO SO EXCITED; I tried to recruit many many friends who I knew were already runners or potential runners. Funny thing, it seemed there were about 6-10 more committed at the time but in the end I recruited only my husband. The race is this Saturday and the runners are Todd, Josh, Melissa, Garett, Kelly, Stacy and NOT ME!!!!

I cannot run- I have been injured for 46 days and have been able to run at all! It has been really hard for me. Things are looking better though. I went in to get fit for orthotics today and I am currently going to an amazing PT who is fixing me. I am finally pain free (for one day so far) though I still can't run pain free. I was only able to run .75 miles today but man it was great!

Anyway I just felt the need to post something about it because I loaded that flaming widget ticker on my blog.

P.S. Todd told me something sweet today- it is sweet if you know him well- He said he is running in my place because I can't. (that is about as mushy as he gets)
