Seizure Day =

  • Cancel all normal daily activities
  • No School for sure
  • Hang out at home
  • Lots of loves and kisses
  • Always keep eyes on Scottie
  • Hope not too many come
  • Lots of sleeping
  • Hope we don't have to use Diastat to stop the cluster
  • Sometimes take a trip to the doctor
  • Free ticket to sleep in Mom's bed
  • Usually go to the Lab to get blood drawn the next day

Yesterday was a Seizure day. Unfortunately we had one last week too. So we did go to the doctor, got labs done and we also got a referral to a new Neurologist. I am kind of excited to get a fresh opinion. Scott currently takes 2 medications four times a day. Just a day in the life of Scott Lewis.

Yesterday I told him there was no school because last week he kept asking me over and over if he could go to school in between his four seizures. It was pretty cute.

Man, I hate seizure day. How long had it been before last week's?

He looks like such a big boy in those pictures.

It had been 10 weeks (Feb. 18th) and 13 weeks before that (Nov. 9th).

I thought the same thing about how big he looks. Today the Lab tech. asked him what his favorite subject in school was...(I know he looks big but he had no clue or interest in what she was saying).

I always wonder if people say things like that because they want to treat him normal or because they have no idea he is not normal?? Perhaps I should start taking a poll.
