I am often tempted to come over to the computer and blog about certain events that happen in the Lewis home that have Scotties name written all over them, but usually I don’t. It might be because I am following through with all the behavior therapy techniques I have been taught and I am so completely frustrated and worn out. Although when it comes down to it I think it is the redundancy that keeps me from posting. Anyhow I am up for it today…
This is just this last week…
I have found Scotties room in this condition THREE times in the last week: he takes the sheets and mattress pad off the bed and somehow moves the entire mattress out of his Little Tikes car bed and has it laying across the room. I couldn’t help but laugh the other day when I walked in and he was standing there in his underwear with his room in this arrangement. It was quite the scene.
He actually does this for a reason. He is looking for “bubble sticks” He loves getting bubbles but he usually dumps all the bubble solution out within 5 min. just to get the wand. He also checks for "bubble sticks" in the couch. I find the family room in disarray about once a day with the couch cushions all over the place.
Here is a picture of Scottie and his bubble sticks. He always asks me, “Mom, take picture of my bubble sticks.” and so I do.
Apparently he is into tearing up books again. A couple weeks ago he tore up the pages of a library book (Boy, that was a fun one.) Yesterday he decided to tare up the pages of his favorite Toy Story book. To bad for Scott.
Last Sunday afternoon Scottie locked Newman (our dog) in the car for about 3 hours. What we didn’t realize is he had taken Todd’s keys and put them in the ignition, started the car, turned off the car and got the keys stuck. We found out the next morning when Todd couldn’t find his keys on his way out the door for work. The only way to get the key out was to start the car BUT IT WOULD NOT START!! I ended up asking a neighbor to come over and jump-start my car.
Oh, I have a picture of this one. I walked into my bathroom the other day and this is what I saw.
1. Keith’s hair Got to Be Glued hair gel – He likes the way it feels to squeeze it, which means there is usually a mess when he gets to it. I just bought a new one this week and he has already squirted half of it out, plus he added water to what is left in the bottle- SO HELPFUL.
2. My dental floss. Scott likes to pull the entire thing out. Which means I get to buy new floss ALL THE TIME!!! He got into it again last night and I will be purchasing more tomorrow.
There is definitely something in my toilet; it won’t flush. Yeah, I’m pretty sure there is something in the toilet…
Yesterday we had an incident with poop and 5 pieces of toast. I’d tell you but I don’t want to gross you out. Although it might be worse to let you imagine…
So what I am trying to say is: Anyone want a 7 ½ year old???
Just kidding, we love him, he is such a funny & cute kid. I sometimes wonder if I will make it through the day but I always do.

I miss Scottie stories!! He is a cutie even if he is a tad naughty! :)
Oh, Scottie... All these crazy stories, and I STILL want to bite your adorable cheeks and cover you with kisses. And scratch your armpit because you'd rather have me do that than give you kisses, I think.
Amber - you are amazing! You talked about not complaining because you think of me having to drive 2 hours a day - that is nothing compared to the amazing patient mother you have to be 24/7!
