When I walked into the bathroom today I found the toilet paper completely off the roll and Fruit Loops not only spilled on the ground but smashed into the tile by little feet. (And yes, those are his shorts on the floor so I found him half naked as usual)
What I realized at that moment is that we are pretty much over this stage! You know, the one where your kid makes a mess of things for no reason at all. Don't get me wrong I still come across plenty of messes, the nice thing is they seem to be a little more mature than the one I found today. (is there such thing as a mature mess?)
I guess you don't realize how good you have it until you get reminded of how it once was...

My first thought was: Really?

So who made the mess?
Scottie, Keith or TODD?? LOL:-)
Isn't it great when you come to realize certain phases are nearing an end? For us right now it is the getting up at 6am phase...Lily seems to finally be sleeping till 6:30 almost 7am MOST days!
I picked out your Christmas gifts! I think your family will like!! (I hope!)
so, i came over to watch the children on friday. i told scottie i was going to the bathroom and he said he was coming with me (a tradition we began in church) and i feel much safer with him watching me than wondering what those free moments will do. he "accomplishes" more than i can BELIEVE in four minutes! and i know it is crazy because he is not my family, but besides he likes to flush. i said, "oh, scottie; i do not think this should have happened," when i saw the tp on the counter in a reusable but not rolled state. he had the guts to smirk at me and and then have a moment where he looked at me serious. NOW i know... the rest of the story. and i was wondering why i don't see more of that in fact. ... - siri
