It's clear today

The fires in Butte County have made it hazy here for weeks. I just looked out my window and realized that I can see the sky and the hills today... I can actually see the beautiful canyon edge behind my house.
I have always admired firefighters and emergency service men. This year I especially have a place in my heart for them. Many emergency service men have been living in Chico for weeks. I pretty much see them everywhere I go. The downtown hotel parking-lots are full of fire rescue trucks. I often think of their families who have been living without them and I am grateful for all they do to keep us safe.

To bad it wasn't that clear when we were just there. Thanks for having us!! It was a fun time had by all. I especially enjoyed the Camp Fire stories and singing. Todd's Kareokee was pretty good too. "I like big butts!!"
