When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. ~Victor Frankl
SHOES: The other day I looked down at my feet and didn't recognize myself...I am the girl who wears flip flops year round and I love it! (I own at least 30 pairs) Because of my orthothics I have been wearing tennis shoes all the time. Now that it is Summer I hate it! I am already getting a nasty farmers tan.
YOGA: I have been wanting to do Yoga for years but it was one of those things I knew would be good to do but I never actually did it. I was mostly embarrassed of being the most un-flexible dork in the room. I have been going to classes on a regular basis for three months now and I love it. I am still a dork but I am getting more flexible and I can see how it is helping my overall health. My Gym here has been remodeling and they just finished the new yoga room. It is beautiful, it has a waterfall, and they are going to have live butterflies flying around inside the room soon which seems a little over the top to me.
HAIR: When you do yoga you have to roll back on your head so my ponytail or bun was getting in the way. I started braiding my hair for class and I end up having braids in my hair at least 4 times a week. It is really long now so I totally look like Pippi Longstocking or a Pioneer.
GARDENING: I put on gardening gloves at least once a day...pretty strange for me. We have a pretty big yard which means a lot of weeds! I have learned if you take time to go over the areas more often it is a lot less work.
If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies. ~Author Unknown

I love that post!
I always wanted to do yoga too, but for the same reason never did. Good for you for jumping into it. You gotta post a picture of the braids, sounds super cute.
I did Yoga with Jennifer Martin the other day and LOVED it!!! There were a few times that I thought the instructor fell asleep because we held some position(insert fancy yoga name) for a VERY long time. Jennifer and I did have to silently chuckle a few times because some positions caused "pressure" to be released from some of the participants bodies! I wish the class time was more convenient for me because I really did enjoy it! I agree with Lisa---show some pictures of your cute braids!
Oh, I'm sure you will see a few pictures of me in braids considering it is my favorite way to do my hair for Swimming.
My big problem is my camera right now. It only works about 30% of the time.
What a fun post. I tried yoga once, and it was good. I'd dreaded it for years but it wasn't so bad once I actually tried it. I should do it again, you inspire me.
Definitely post a pic of the braids. They sound darling.
I loved the quotes, too.
