We've been breathing smoke for days...

The current fires are not too close although it looks like we are in the middle of fog season. We did had a front row seat for the Humboldt fire that was here in Chico two weeks ago. Helicopters and planes were flying over our house and filling up in the lake right by our house the first day. It was amazing how fast the fires spread.

Our friends, the Hancocks stayed with us for a few days because their property was right in the middle of the action. It was scary. Luckily nothing happened to their home. Tammy posted pictures of the fire on her blog. They are pretty incredible.
