Obsessions

I have had time to breathe, so I can now calmly tell this story.

We had an issue with the toilets at our apartment recently. Don’t worry, you can read on. We thought it was strange that both toilets were clogged at the same time but hey, they had been acting up a little, so whatever. After the plumber came he discovered what was clogging both toylets. Yes, TOYlets. You get the picture.

After giving Scottie multiple threats we thought he understood that it was not worth the aftermath to have pleasure of watching that toy swirl down to the great beyond. The only thing we were dealing with at that time was his obsession with plungers. He had become totally fascinated. He wanted to see plungers wherever we were, at school, church, stores etc… He would even say he had to go to the bathroom just to see if the place had a plunger.

Not long after, we moved into our brand new house. On Thursday morning December 6th, the toilet was clogged. I couldn’t believe it, I was furious!! I pulled out that trusty plunger and it didn’t work. After a little research on line I went to Lowe's and bought a Plumber’s Snake. Needless to say I can now put on my resume that I have some plumbing skills. It took hours but at least I did not have to call a plumber. I really don’t think he will do it again. He was seriously scared to death of me for days…

He is still obsessed with plungers. I have tried to discourage this unusual obsession but it is not really working. Just tonight we had a conversation that went like this:
“Mom, Kerri have plunger.” Scott said excitedly as we were leaving our friends house. He went on in a repulsive voice: “Ewe, scusting, that ross!” (disgusting, that’s gross)
“We don’t talk about plungers.” I replied, knowing it is going to take a long time to get him off this one.

I love a good pun.

And, don't worry, Scottie. We all have our obsessions... whether or not we wear them as openly as you do, little guy.

Okay, That is so funny. That kid cracks me up. Not that it's funny that he would break your brand new toilet.
Only you could figure out how to snack a toilet!!
